Re-doing the kitchen is fun to do...
"Is that a faucet in your salad?"
"Why, yes it is. Thank you for asking..."
We found a leak under our sink that had completely corroded our faucet. We replaced our entire sink, but the old parts and the new parts didn't mix. So, our kitchen flooded...twice. Here is our journey towards getting a new kitchen.
Here is some of the water damage to our kitchen cabinets.
Step one: Remove old cabinets, using all safety guidelines...
Step Two: Replace floor, then realize the dishwasher cord is in the wrong place. Re-do this step.
Step Three: Place appliances awkwardly in middle of kitchen...
Step four: Add a lot of boxes...
Step 7: Install kitchen counter top...
Step 9: 4 weeks later...Beautiful! Now we just need an over-the-stove microwave. We think it turned out pretty nice. It's been quite the project!
Fun Run time!
I wish Kaylee's eyes were open...but, this is Taylor after the 3rd grade fun run. He didn't stop running the whole time...he did great! He got 4th place out of the whole school! Way to go!
12 years old!
Alyssa is 12! She had her 4 best friends over. We went roller skating, and then went back to our house for pizza and hamburgers...I mean cake :)
Track
Andrew joined the 8th grade track team - he really enjoyed it. He ran the 800 most of the time. He did the mile a few times, and ended by running a mile in 6 min 17 seconds. Way to go, Speedy! This was also Andrew's first day wearing his new contacts!
